My story
Between now and 18 August I have to shed over a stone in weight, get down to 11 stone 6 and learn how to race a racehorse.

I'm taking part in the Newmarket Cavalry Charge - the first ever charity race at Newmarket's July Course, raising money for Racing Welfare and the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund.

It's RACE DAY. I'm just over 11 stone, and just a little nervous...
Now I've hit 11 stone 5 - under target, so I might get a bigger saddle. Excitement building as the race is only three days away
Now I'm down to just under 12 stone for the first time in years. Not far to go now
Rode out this morning, dodging the rain. That was fine but I'm finding it tough to avoid the sausages.
