A call to make a change

Having lived in India for 18 months, I still cannot forget those "bright little eyes" staring at me. Fired up children unable to express their intelligence simply because they don't have the means to.

Throughout my growth, I have been fed with the idea that I cannot make a difference, and that things will always remain the way they are.

In the last 5 years, working with Isha has proved the exact opposite and the change I have been through is my biggest proof of that. The change I have seen in people around me is yet another confirmation.

On September 20, I will be walking to support Isha Vidhya, walking to make a difference no matter what the scale of it. If you wish to join me in that endeavor, any donation makes a difference. One step after the other, that's how we are planning to make it happen.

More Information on Isha Vidhya:

India’s rural youth have the potential to contribute in the growth of their country. Yet due to low-quality education, many young Indians graduate from school without the basic skills to gain employment and pursue higher education.

Isha Vidhya was founded as a means for transforming the lives of rural children by providing affordable, high-quality education where it is otherwise unavailable. The schools are designed to build confident, English-speaking, computer-adept youth. Students will graduate prepared to pursue higher education and employment in the best colleges and corporate institutions.

"The basic purpose of life and the basic purpose of education is to enhance one's boundaries of perception. I don't want the children to just survive after twelve years of schooling here. They must blossom and flower wherever they go." Sadhguru, Founder of Isha Vidhya

Isha Vidhya functions on a grass-roots level, relying on community involvement and the support of innumerable volunteers and donors. I invite you to learn more about Isha Vidhya and join us in our efforts to empower the rural youth of India!
