My story
Thank you for visiting my page.
I am raising money for Learning for Life by running the London Marathon. You may not be familiar with the charity, but I am a big believer in its mission to bring education to impoverished children, especially women. They are also incredibly focused on making sure all their money goes to its purpose: 95% of your money will go straight to its good causes, vs more like 85% for many of the biggest UK charities.
The charity works with local people in very poor countries to provide education for children, training for teachers, certified vocational training for safe employment and catch up education for adolescents, and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS awareness for communities.
I have been training hard for my first ever Marathon: I ran 7 miles on Christmas day and 8 miles on New Years day so I am very dedicated to the cause! I did 10 miles today in the slushy snow. The thought of running for 26 miles makes me feel a little queasy, but I’m determined to do it!
