Hi Everyone
My family in honour of my mother and with the greatest of respect and thanksgiving to St Margaret's have decided to hold an Art Exhibition in Oils with all monies going to St Margaret of Scotland Hospice. My Aunt Letitia Haines of Australia has donated 2 paintings, her fellow Australian artist Les Fairbrother has also kindly donated a painting. My sister Pauline has sent two from Iceland and my art instructor Catherine Bryce has generously donated 3 paintings my father, Pat McCarthy, brother Charlie McCarthy and Aunt Mary Marshall have paid for a canvas and oil paints each. Caroline Thomson and Letitia Smith another of my two sisters kindly donated a painting each that Pauline (with her permission) did for them last year. So you can see it is indeed a family effort. We the artists only hope we have come up to a reasonable standard that will encourage people to buy one.
The exhibition is now on show at Clydebank Shopping Centre at the Kilbowie Rd entrance, thank you to the management and staff of the shopping centre for allowing this display to go ahead.
You can see all of the painting that have arrived on this site

I would be very grateful if you could pass this site address on to any of your friends who enjoy oil paintings. I am hoping that people might like to bid by contacting the fundraising dept of the Hospice, the person offering the set price or nearest to it will be contact for delivery arrangements. If you cannot afford to buy an original oil you may consider making a donation of whatever you can afford if you want to download a copy of any of the paintings. Or you can contact me on fairydolphin@hotmail.co.uk if you are interested in purchasing one of these cavases or would like a poster for £12 each. Please remember every penny donated goes straight to helping Scotland's largest and longest serving Hospice. Thanks.
Because it costs on average £45 to do an oil paining I have set a reserve on each painting. Painting set at £50 have a reserve of £35 and the larger paintings have a reserve of £80. I am hoping that if people like the paintings enough they will make a generous offer as all monies paid for each canvas will go directly to St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.

Marjorie
