I have joined the Arrhythmia Alliance Hearts & Goals campaign because I want to help tackle the UK's biggest killer - sudden cardiac arrest.

I recently completed a first aid course and was amazed by how simple defibrillators are to use. Voice prompts help guide anyone who uses them on how to perform CPR and deliver a shock to restore the heart back to a normal rhythm.

I am fundraising for a public-access defibrillator in Clifton Village. The defibrillator will be housed in a weatherproof cabinet for use by all in the event of sudden cardiac arrest.

Hearts & Goals promotes placement of public-access defibrillators that are visible and can be accessed by all who need them - as common a sight as fire extinguishers!
