Our story is that we want to raise awareness for Brain Tumours, and help fund research and support in Leeds, to benefit the world and the future of our children.
Ian Meek is 41 years old and has had a cancerous tumour since 2009, it was benign since 1994, he counts himself as very lucky, as we have met people with brain tumours that have only lived for weeks. It is the quickest growing cancer among children and those under 40, 0.7% is the amount that cancer charities and goverment give to fund brain tumour research. £15000 reached on 26/05/11 when Joanne Pitchforth added £649 raised for cycling 200 miles well do Jo and all the team.
We are raising funds primarily for BTRS in Yorkshire, formely Andreas Gift, which supports people with tumours, but also in co-operation with Candlelighters, fund the research lab.
Our saying is when diagnosed with cancer,dont think of the things you cannot do, dream and do the things you can. unfortunately not all cancer patients get the oppurtunity, bare this in mind and help us by donating, to this page and see our events at www.meeksfeats.org.uk

Nannie Jeanne let Nexus in Leeds know what we are doing, tonight they held a disco and presented me with a cheque for £850, unbelievable. They also auctioned a signed Emmerdale tee shirt which actress Sian Reese Williams had giving me, and that went for £50.
