On 15th July Francis Maina died in Kenyatta Hospital, Nairobi in Kenya from head injuries and internal bleeding after being brutally beaten to by a mob after an incident involving the theft of a mobile phone. The attack happened in Thika.  Francis was not the one who took the phone but subsequently has lost his life.  The incident has left all those who cared about Francis shocked, angry and determined to do more for children like him.

Let his death not be in vain.  By raising money in memory of Francis I hope that AfCiC will be able to prevent similar tradgedies from occuring and to continue to help the most vulnerable children. The moeny raised will be used to help the long term cases of those like Francis.

Please give what you can and spare a thought for his friends, his family and everyone at AfCiC

He was well loved and will be missed
