Story
Finding a cure for cancer is a cause close to my heart as I've seen some of my family and friends (old and young) suffer at the hands of cancer.
I've done my share of volunteering for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) in the past, but this year I've decided to kick it up a notch and actually raise some money.
So this September, I’m taking on an intimidating 13.1 miles or 21k walk around the city of London as part of the Shine Night Walk.
I wish I could just wake up on the day in September and walk this distance, but that would be foolish. So instead, I'm also running 10k at Race for Life in July, the Gloucester 10k and one of the Women's Running 10k series races as part of my training.
As I undertake these challenges, I hope to raise at least £200, which could help buy around 88 thermometers, vital for many cancer-fighting experiments that need to be performed at precise temperatures.
Every single pound you donate will make a difference to CRUK's groundbreaking work, so please donate whatever you can spare and together we can help beat cancer sooner. For those who would rather sponsor me the traditional way, please get in touch and I will note your name down on my sponsorship form.

Gift Aid - If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Sleep can wait. Beating cancer can’t.
