Willen Hospice - MK Midnight Moo 2011 · 16 July 2011 ·

We support the growing number of people in and around Milton Keynes affected by a life-limiting illness. We give our patients and their loved ones specialist, personalised care - free of charge. Only 13.8% of our costs are met by ongoing NHS funding, so we’re dependent on your support. Thank you.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have always been told 'if you don't ask you don't get' so here goes:

"I want your money!"

I am walking in the Midnight Moo on Saturday 16 July 2011 to raise money for the charity (Willen Hospice). I have held Willen Hospice very dear to my heart since 1996.

Our families experienced the most wonderful kindness and support from the Willen team who cared for my late father-in-law Geoffrey Twiselton and my grandfather Alexander William Ashley Gander in June and September 1996.

Geoffrey's time at Willen was very brief, a matter of days and Ashley was there for a few weeks. Their care was outstanding. From the greetings of the receptionist and lovely food from the chef/cook to the auxillary nurses, staff nurses and doctors who tended and cared for Geoffrey and Ashley and also our families, who experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during that time.

I fondly treasure my memories of the love and dedication the staff gave to my family within the peaceful tranquility of Willen. So here I am (not quite cap in hand - whey hey for technology) asking for your kind donation to Willen via JustGiving.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you!
