How many hardcore sports fans or CEO's do you know who would dye their hair PINK to support Breast Cancer Awareness? I know one....my husband, Glenn. There is a catch, though, I have to raise £500 by next Saturday, 22 October 2011, before he'll let me dye his hair pink at our Girlie Pink Pamper Party.
I have a sneaking suspicion that you, his cricket buddies, colleagues, business associates, friends & family would pay to make sure that this happens. Besides, the best part is that you'll be supporting a wonderful charity.
I chose Breast Health International, based in London, because of their 'Funds for Living' programme, which includes the following:
- Home Care (visiting nurse of home health care worker) on the first few days following discharge from the hospital for surgery or invasive diagnostic procedures.
- Child Care to permit patients to keep their appointments for invasive diagnosis procedures or surgery.
- Transportation to/from the hospital for diagnostic or surgical procedures, radiation therapy or chemotherapy treatments.
- Non-covered medications for pain or nausea following treatment.
- Hair Replacement (wig) during chemotherapy if not otherwise covered.
- Skin Care during radiation treatments, if not otherwise covered.
- Mastectomy Prosthesis, if not otherwise provided.
- Other Unique situations that may arise on a case-by-case basis.
For those of you who would like to have a front row seat, at this event, to see Glenn Go Pink, please be sure to donate a minimum of £20, and I'll see to it that you get a special invitation to our Pink Pamper Party.
So please dig deep and donate now!
ps.... Did I mention that the day after Glenn Goes Pink, he'll be going to the Bruno Mars concert...with his teenage children!
