I was diagnosed with progressive MS in 2006, but I only got to know the local MS Therapy Centre last year. I am now one of the Trustees and we are organising the Annual Sponsored Walk for the first time at the National Trust Estate at Stourhead on Sunday 2nd October 2011. The objectives of the walk are to raise funds to offset the running costs of the Centre and to increase awareness of the Centre both within the general public and amongst MS sufferers in the area.
The Wessex MS Therapy Centre supports those suffering with MS in South Wiltshire, North Dorset and East Somerset - Bath to Andover to Salisbury and Yeovil. We provide physiotherapy, Oxygen Therapy, counselling, reflexology as well as providing vital social contact between members, volunteers and staff at the Centre in Warminster. We rely entirely on voluntary donations.
£50 provides for the Centre running costs for 30 mins
£25 would provide oxygen for the pressure chamber for one day.
£10 would support one physiotherapy session
