Story
Help us realise an exciting creative technology project for young people affected by mental illness – by sponsoring our Director Mike Stubbs to take on the Zip Wire Challenge!
Next spring FACT will present Group Therapy, a major new exhibition that brings together international artists and communities to explore mental health. Following on from projects like www.inhand.org.uk and www.fact.co.uk/projects/electric-blanket, we want to work with young people to develop a programme that supports their wellbeing.
Mental health is a global concern, and young people are especially vulnerable, with 1 in 10 now considered to have some sort of diagnosable condition.
We believe that creative projects can give young people the chance to tell their story, build their confidence, help them learn new skills, make friends and inspire others.
SO can you sponsor Mike and help raise much-needed funds for this FACT project?
On Wednesday 3 September our Director and self-titled 'thrill seeker' Mike Stubbs is going to take on Liverpool's zip wire challenge - a 100ft high wire spanning nearly 1000ft, right in the heart of Liverpool city centre.
Because we are FACT, and we love tech, we've decided to record Mike's ride on a roving camera, so if you can’t make it down to cheer him on in Liverpool you can watch online afterwards! All the money raised through this challenge will go towards our mental health arts programme for young people.
