Hi Everyone,

Yes, at the age of 66 I am going to cycle in a "Tour de France".  Before you all die of laughter perhaps I should explain that this not THE "Tour de France" but a cycle trip from Nimes to Carcassonne.  In doing so I thought that this would be a golden opportunity to raise funds for that very worthy cause - Kidney Research UK.

Having assisted with fund raising events for this charity over many years I appreciate the valuable contribution made by Kidney Research UK to the improved treatment of those with kidney disease.  Apart from house to house collections my last personal effort at fund raising was a sponsored ascent of Ben Nevis in October 2004 - now is the time for me to get on my bike!
