My story

Right so,

A man of the people can only truly call himself thus if he is prepared to listen to his public. You have spoken and I have listened. After many months of abuse, rebukes and open ridicule, I have decided to take on board your criticism - some constructive ("Have a shave"), some not so ("Have a shave, you idiot") - and once more introduce cold hard steel to this handsome, handsome face of mine.

However, as I'm making this ultimate sacrifice to the gods of smooth skin, I feel that the people need to share in my suffering. So, to all of you who've made my life a living hell since I started my own one-man homage to Brian Blessed, I ask - no, scrub that, I demand - that you put your hands in your pockets and give generously. It'll be a small step to righting your collective wrongs.

Money donated to this page will find its way to the ME Assoction. ME - Myalgic Encephalopathy -  is a debilitating illness with no obvious trigger or cause and no universally effective treatment. It can strike people of any age, at any time, and its symptoms can include chronic and constant muscle fatigue and pain, disrupted sleep patterns, and poor memory and concentration. As there are often no apparent physical symptoms, those afflicted have often had to contend with public (and at times, medical) scepticism whilst living with the condition. Public awareness and understanding of the illness is not what it could be, and for that reason I've attached a link to the ME Association website, where you can read more about the work undertaken by the charity.

I'm not going to put a target on the page, it's not really important since any donation - no matter how small - will be gratefully received. Thanks for reading.
