HOPE in partnership with The Friend in Need Society are the premier service organisations caring for the physically handicapped and disabled through its artificial limb and appliance fitting service popularly known as the 'Jaipur Foot Programme'.
This programme dramatically improves the quality of life and advances the rights of physically disabled children and adults.

1. Helping amputees to regain mobility and overcome the physical and psychological trauma of limb-loss
2. Helping amputees and disabled persons to regain their self-esteem, dignity and sense of well being and re-integrate with mainstream society by leading as normal a life as possible.
3. Helping disabled children to continue their schooling without interruption and develop their full potential by providing educational grants.
4. Providing needy amputees and disabled persons with interest free loans to enable them to undertake income generating activities so that they could support themselves and not feel a burden on others.
5. Setting an example to other prospective employers by employing amputees and disabled persons - As many as 12 out of the project staff are previous beneficiaries of artificial limbs.
6. The use of the world’s only mobile service unit, funded by HOPE and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, that travels to remote areas to supply artificial limbs
