Monster Tours & Quo Fishing Club are raising a sponsored fishing event to raise money for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund For Children (NICFC). The event will be a 10 day fishing extravaganza being held on the mighty Ebro River in Spain. All money raised will go to help the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund For Children and the excellant work they do in helping children who suffer from cancer.
The Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is a registered charity, which offers practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people up to and including the age of 21, who are living with cancer, and their families.
Two children are diagnosed with cancer every week in Northern Ireland, leaving two more families to cope with a level of devastation that is almost impossible for most of us to comprehend.
Based at Curlew Pavilion within Belfast Harbour Estate, and with a satellite office in the North West, we are able to extend our services to every part of Northern Ireland.
These services include the lively and supportive Youth Programme & Family Support Programme; residential facilities such as Shimna Valley Holiday House, Narnia and Pine Cottage; and direct financial assistance via our ‘Road Miles’ and ‘Home Heating’ schemes. The NICFC is managed by a volunteer board of directors who meet every three months to develop organisational strategy.
