On July 17th a group of friends are climbing Mount Kilamanjaro and though whilst we are there we would attempt to raise some money for charity. The crazy people who are doing the climb are Louise Moran, Lorna McNeil, Clive Wilfred, Silvia Weisseneder and Jacqueline Martin. The trek is a 6 day trek to the summit of Kilamajaro with the summit being 5,700m. Additional to the climb we will visit the TEKUA Project on our trip
100% of the money raised shall go directly to the Projects nothing will be spent on the administration of the charity so please help with this cause.
We are raising money for http://www.helpingafrica100.com/. We are raising money for their TEKUA Project : A vocational centre for teenagers who cannot afford secondary school. They have recently built at new centre which we hope to open in September. And additionally their WAMATA Project: A group that helps with HIV/Aids awareness and education. The have a current project with this group to help "100 Grandparents" , those caring for orphaned and/or vulnerable grandchildren. Please check out the Helping Africa Website to see where your fund will be going.
So please dig deep and donate now. It is a great cause for some seriously deserving people who need a chance in life. We all become so absorbed in our own world and sometimes miss the chance to see what difference we can make to other people's lifes. Some small contribution from us can make a huge difference to another person's life.
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one. ~Mother Teresa
