My story
Hi I’m Daren, and I am suffering from cancer of the esophagus stage IV but it is also present in my liver, adrenal glands & lymph nodes. I was told I had cancer in December 2010, after suffering various symptoms for 6 months prior. My treatment is very intense, with two types of chemotherapy administered intravenously at the Dorset Cancer Centre at Poole Hospital, and chemotherapy in pill form morning and night.
Discovering you have cancer is shocking and frightening, but I am responding well to my treatment, and I’ve had the most wonderful support from friends & family, which has been incredibly touching, and their continued support is a source of strength that I draw on continually. And, I cannot wait to marry my fiancé Hellie in 2012!
I am delighted that Mploy have taken up the challenge to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Care. These charities need and deserve continued support in not only the hope to find a cure for cancer but provide medical and emotional support for everyone touched by cancer.
