We are raising money for the Lancashire Cardiac Centre charity “Hearts of Gold”  by cycling across the Jordanian desert in gruelling conditions of heat and drought. Heart disease kills one in three people and the LCC is dedicated to treating patients from Lancashire and Cumbria with life threatening cardiac conditions. Innovative surgical treatments and research are supported by the Charity to enable us to offer our patients the best and newest therapies not always supported by central funding.  As cardiac surgeons we see that modest extra cash inputs can make big differences in the service we provide.
