My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

As many of you know, I am a keen supporter of Bliss following the premature birth of Eoin in 2007. Eoin was born at 26 weeks weighing 2lb 4oz. He almost didn't make it, but thanks to the skill and dedication of the doctors and nurses he pulled through. Eoin spent 3 months in hospital and finally came home 4 days before his due date. Eoin's premature birth and his neonatal journey was a traumatic and difficult time for our family. We were supported by Bliss in those early days and recognise the great work they do both in helping babies and families, and raising awareness about the needs of sick and premature babies through campaigning.

We now want to turn one of the most stressful times in our lives into one of the most positive by supporting Bliss in their activities to make things better for those who follow.

On 15th June 2010, I will be leaving Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge and cycling, via Princess Alexandra Hospital Harlow, to London and then to Paris. I will be back before Eoin's 3rd birthday on June 22nd. Follow my progress here.

It would be fantastic if you could support me in this journey. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: BLISS gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now - merci!

So have you removed the stabilizers yet? I would also go for a good bell or perhaps a horn? Good luck and hope you enjoy it - at least some of it!
