Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As a group of passionate young 16 year olds, we decided to take part in NCS (National Citizen Service) in which our main aim is to make a difference in people's lives through our social action project.
We strongly believe that the Teenage Cancer Trust is an incredibly worthy cause as two members of our group have had and are still going through experiences of cancer with close friends and family. One, Sam Hedger, an enthusiastic 19 year old from Sussex, and the other Ben Atkins, a bright 18 year old from Hertfordshire. Both these boys are still fighting this merciless illness so therefore we have decided to participate in the London Monopoly Board Walk, in which we visit all the streets and stations on the London Monopoly Board in fancy dress and take pictures with our giant print outs of the Monopoly Street Cards. We will also sing and play instruments along the way, as any motivation and positivity will send us well on our way!
In addition, to make this mission more personal, we will be visiting UCH Hospital as Ben has been treated there for nearly 4 years. Both he and his family know that the support given to them by Teenage Cancer Trust has been one in a million, so we feel that we need to give something back to say a massive thank you. We are also going to visit Southampton Hospital where Sam has been treated, to gain an understanding of what they do and to thank them for all their support.
It would mean the world if you could please sponsor us, as there are so many teenagers and their families who need much help and support as they have to fight the Big C.
Please also visit our Twitter page to keep updated with our walk: @TCTBoardWalk . We also have set up text donations so if you would like to donate via this method, text PNCS99 to 70070 with the amount you would like to donate (£1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10).
A massive thank you from NCS Pulborough - Charlotte Austin, Molly Hedger, Laura Sebastino, Amy Harrison, Emma Latter, Leanne Adsett, Lily Drennan, Georgie Williamson, Ellie Edsor, Gemma Boultwood, Izzy Russel, Lidia Palermo and Tom Coad and our NCS Leaders Emma and Dan.
