Blood, sweat and tears....and that was only making the decision to commit to running the Great North Run....But how hard can it be? Tens of thousands run it every year....It's only 13.1 miles....That's not far.

Jon, Sean, Paul and Emma have been and will be pounding the streets in preparation. Emma's incentive was to lose a few pounds whilst doing it for a good cause, as for the rest of us frankly we're just mad (about running?). So for all of those who said 'but Emma you're not built for running' and 'you guys should be taking it easy at your age!' put a pound or two in our pot. This is a one off event; and it's for a great cause. We will all DO it and have a great time making wishes come true. We all need your support. After all, Emma could have gone to weight watchers and Jon, Sean and Paul could have stayed at home with their pipe and slippers - but where's the fun in that!?
