Story

I am embarking on a challenge which will take place in September 2013.  The challenge itself is to cycle all three asphalt ascents of Mont Ventoux from the villages of Bedoin, Malaucene and Sault, in one day.  This equates to a total distance of 150km (93 miles) and a total height gain of 4,381m (14,400 ft) or:

·         Over five times the height of Slieve Donard;

·         Over three times the height of Ben Nevis; or

·         Half the height of Mount Everest.

Did I tell you that I am 18 stones (115kg) and hate climbing?
