Many thanks for taking the time to visit NRG's JustGiving page where the staff at NRG are raising money for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre's. Maggie's provides support to anyone affected by any type of cancer - be they a patient, family member or friend. Maggie's provide a free programme of information, psychological support and anxiety reduction to complement medical treatment received at adjacent NHS hospitals. Every penny raised will go straight towards supporting those families, friends and carers who have been touched by cancer in your community.
An energetic team from NRG completed the Three Peaks Challenge on 11 and 12 June. The team climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden witnessing glorious sunshine, dropping temperatures, hail, rain and even snow at the top of Ben Nevis, with five of the team members completing all three peaks within an astonishing 23 hours and all team members managing to complete the challenge within 27 hours!
We still want to keep smashing our target and have more fundraising activities planned over the coming months including four staff members taking part in the North Run.
Thank you to so many of you that donated to this great cause and that gave us so much encouragement before, during and after the Three Peaks Challenge. Your contributions will make this Maggie’s North East Centre happen.
