The photo attached is the last picture taken of me and my dad together on holiday, unfortunately 2 years ago he passed away as a result of his addiction to alcohol. Addiction affects families in different ways and it is vital they receive the right support and help, for this reason I have chosen Addiction as my charity and hope to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
Over the last couple of years I have set myself a number of goals, although none have been quite as big as this one! Back in May when my best friend told me we were off to Amsterdam, I thought great, what a fantastic weekend away, what more could I ask for? Then she told me it was to complete a Marathon!! The excitment kicked in straight away, its something I have always wanted to do, however 4 months on the excitement has turned to pain, but I know when I cross the finishing line on 18th October it will all be worth it.
