Story
Hello everyone again. We've just completed the 'Leeds 2011 Half Marathon', this morning. The weather was decent(ish) so generally it was quite a hassle-free, smooth run. We are absolutely knackered now, and i've just about managed to limp back home to write this message.
We owe everyone a massive thank you for supporting us (verbally as well as with your wallets :p). This morning we reached our target of £500, which was great, and they still seem to be coming in . This is a great achievement, and coupled with the gift aid (about £100 now and still growing) this will be a huge contribution towards relief efforts in Japan, which are ongoing and will still be in months and years to come; so we are really grateful to everyone.
Performance wise we all achieved what we set out to do. Our training regime was only around 7 weeks and we all managed to finish in under 1 hour 55 minutes without stopping for breaks at all, with only a few minutes separating each of us. So basically we all deserve an uber pat on the back (especially Nils who basically did no training and went out last night....LAD!).
So one last thank you to everyone for your support and money. This page will stay open for a month or so, so keep spreading the word and thanks again in advance for any more donations we receive.
WELL DONE LADS
P.S if anyone is thinking of doing a half-marathon/marathon in the future, it is well advised to rub vaseline on your nipples beforehand - otherwise your nipples bleed and drop off........like mine did.
