We are a group of paediatric nurses alongside two of our friends and family and are trying to raise money for Neptune Children's Ward where we work. To do this we have signed up to a gruelling 12mile obstacle course in which we will be faced with the intimidatingly named mud mile, cliff hanger, arctic enema and electric shock therapy among others! You may thing we are brave, you may thing were mad but we are doing it for a very good reason.

An unfortunate but unavoidable part of being a children's nurse is caring for acutely and critically unwell children, however in these times it is not just the children we care for but also their families. When these children are admitted to our high dependency area within Neptune Ward, the bed spaces can become very confined with equipment and monitors not leaving much room for their deeply concerned parents. By donating to our cause you will be helping to buy vital space saving, reclining bed chairs that enable the parents of these poorly children to get some well needed rest while we continue to provide essential care.

Every penny that you contribute will make a huge difference to our families experiences in hospital and make a difficult time that little bit easier.
