In this new era of austerity it is easy to say "sorry, I can't afford it". However, we can't say no to MS it is in our faces all the time. When I see what MS does to young peoples' lives and the impact it has on their families I want to cry.
Some facts: (1) Do you know that approximately 50% of people with MS are unemployed within 5 years of diagnosis. (2) Did you know that 75% of married people with MS get divorced. (3) Did you know that society rates the quality of life of someone with very advanced MS as being worse than death.
Although we continually try to push the boundaries with our research, it does little to improve the lives of people living with MS on a day-to-day basis. In contrast "The MS Trust" does a lot to help the lives of people with MS. They do this very quietly in a methodical and meticulous way. Without "The MS Trust" the lives of people with MS would be a lot harder. Please help us to to keep "The MS Trust" afloat. We simply couldn't do without them.
Thanks
