Story
In memory of Dad who died from cancer 10 years ago, on April 6th I'm off to Morocco to run the Marathon des Sables - a 6 day ultra marathon across the Sahara. The race consists of running a marathon a day for 6 days across the desert, totalling 156 miles whilst loaded with a 12 kg backpack.
Why? When Dad came home from hospital to die, the Saunders family were very lucky to have Dawn, a wonderful Marie Curie nurse to help him (and us) through his last weeks. It costs £20 for a Marie Curie "Dawn" to spend just one hour with a patient, and there is a huge demand for these brilliant nurses. So, I would really appreciate you helping me through the race by donating to Marie Curie, a fab charity. Thank you so much. Cheers, Nick
