It seems the pain and suffering endured for the London Marathon 2008 is a distant memory as I have once again signed up to run the Virgin London 2010 Marathon!! And again I'll be running it for Chickenshed.
Chickenshed is a fantastic organisation that runs a theatre company which focuses on inclusivity for children and young people of all ages and abilities. It runs Children's and Youth Theatre workshops for 600 people, education courses for over 100 students, community outreach projects and a network of satellite ‘Sheds’ across the UK and the rest of the world. I ran the London Marathon 2008 for Chickenshed and helped the organisation raise money for its ‘Seachange’ production – a multi-cultural event that linked children from every continent in a spectacular theatre show (it was great to actually see what they were able to do as a result of the marathon monies and how much all the children and young people involved enjoyed participating in the show). This year I need to raise £1300 for the charity. As well as seeking donations, I will also be looking to raise funds from baking and holding various events to reach my target (and hopefully go beyond) - don't worry, I'll keep you posted! :-)
You can help me start reaching this target by donating though this page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks in advance for all your help and support
Best wishes
Nicola
