August 2010 sees the 1st anniversary of my operation to remove the Meningioma Brain Tumour that was discovered lurking around inside my head. I was fortunate, the operation was a success and my recovery was a lot quicker than expected. My life is back to normal now that the tumour has been removed, hopefully never to return.
Some people are not so lucky, their recoveries may be long and hard and the tumour cannot always be completely removed, they rely on people like Brain Tumour Action for support and counselling.
No one knows exactly what causes brain tumours but Brain Tumour Action helps to fund research into brain tumours, they receive no statutory funding and rely on donations.
I have been extremely lucky and one year on, to show my appreciation for the help I have received, I have decided to raise money for Brain Tumour Action.
I am hoping that people will help me support this charity. Any donations will be very much appreciated.
