My story
I’m Nicola and I’m a 2nd year Vet student at the University of Liverpool. Each year our society LUVS supports a local and an international charity; this year's international charity is Worldwide Veterinary Services.
I am going to give up alcohol for all of 2nd semester from January 9th 2012 to our last exam of the year (almost 5 months) to raise money for the nominated charities.
This means I will be:
- Suffering through 2 sets of exams with no comforting pints in The Cambridge
- Being the designated driver for every night out in Lincoln in this time
- Celebrating the end of semester 1 exams alcohol-free
- Hitting ‘reet good’ Retford for bank holiday weekends without being under the influence
- Going to the Raz and LUVS events stone cold sober

· Free veterinary advice and consultation
Working with local communities, WVS aims to promote and produce long-term sustainable projects to the benefit of local animal and human populations.
