My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi I’m Nicole
I was born three months premature which has left me severely disabled with quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy. My Mummy and Daddy were told I might not survive and to prepare for the worst.
Against all odds and my determination to live, I pulled through but my parents were told that I’d never walk, never sit, feed myself or speak. My family strive to do the best that they can for me every day but I need so much therapy as I don’t receive any Physiotherapy anymore.
My Mummy found this wonderful place called The Legacy were they are dedicated in teaching children like me with brain injuries, life limiting conditions and disabilities. I went for an assessment three years ago, and on my assessment the conductor got me to stand for five seconds and lift my head high and smile, that’s when my mum cried and promised me that no matter what, she and my family will do their best keep me attending the Legacy.
I have been going for over three years and have already learnt how to sit independently, stand for thirty seconds, feed myself and take a few steps on my walker which I love to do. I watch my brother Alex whizzing round on his bike, I wish I was able to do that! I really want the chance to learn more but my mummy and daddy have to raise a lot of money to send me to The Legacy.

Rainbow House helps children with physical disabilities between the age of 3 months - 16 years to become more active & independent through Conductive Education and Early Years services, aiming to achieve each childs goal in sitting, standing and walking and improve their social skills in eating, dressing and toileting, making integration into mainstream school and the community easier. Not only do we help children with disabilties such as Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Metabolic & other genetic motor disorders, we also provide support for their families & carers.
