Whittington Babies supports families of sick and premature babies at Whittington Hospital since 1986. The charity provides medical equipment and support facilities for the neonatal intensive care unit, as well as a parent support group by parents whose babies have been on the unit in the past.

Story

Ladies and Gents let me introduce myself Raj and my side kick Nimisha (please refer to picture 2 for standard pose).

We have been chosen by a greater means to raise money for the babies of Whittington Hospital. A hospital close to both our hearts as we cannot be grateful enough for the care it has provided to younger siblings and loved ones to ensure they have a healthy start to life. Caring for premature babies is extremely expensive, and while the NHS is supportive, the NICU at the Whittington Hospital could not function without funds from the community to keep on saving lives of babies. Over the years we have sponsored colleagues, friends and family as they have undertaken personal challenges to raise funds, and now it’s our turn.

In an effort to polish off our aerodynamic-building-hopping skills we will be facing one of our greatest fears in undertaking the Latitude Challenge in the South of France on the 9 Sept 2012 (refer to video 1). This is the HIGHEST Bridge in Europe at 182m!

We understand this isn’t enough; we take our work extremely seriously and so are accepting our challenge and jumping in our voted costumes some of you may remember this scene from Only Fools and Horses.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv_-jQ4nnZ4

I know what you are thinking… but there is no need to push your imaginations too far. As soon as we raise enough money and hit our £500 contribution mark to help ensure the babies born at the Whittington get a fair chance in life we will be posting video evidence! Please contribute and bring this (potentially humiliating) event share closer by donating today.

One in every nine babies in the UK is born premature or sick. That is over 80,000 babies every year! So please dig deep and help us to support families who face the unimaginable fear of losing their child. We appreciate your support.
