Story
About us
Fate (and Pakistani parents) first led us to meet back in February of this year. What began as a shared command of Spanglish and mutual commitment-phobia, quickly blossomed into something deeper. (It’s all about the eyes I’m told!) Within a few weeks we were engaged and the wedding is now set for October 2009 when friends and family from around the world will come together to celebrate our marriage.
Between us we already have all the toasters, hand blenders and place mats a young(ish) couple need. So instead of buying us more stuff for our new life together, we are asking our wedding guests to donate to our chosen charity The Noor Foundation.
About The Noor Foundation
We’ve chosen to support The Noor Foundation for a couple of reasons. Firstly, because Riz has already been involved with raising funds for the foundation through his sporting achievements. Also, with so many giving options nowadays it is hard to know what will really make a difference and we both believe that the foundation delivers tangible results in the work that is does to provide free kidney dialysis to those in need.
Using Justgiving helps too by sending your money directly to the charity and making sure Gift Aid is reclaimed in every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
By donating not only will you be helping improve the quality of life of some of the poorest people in the world, but you’re almost guaranteed a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Enjoy every last moment!
