Older Men Moving is a unique project in ’s . Green Candle Dance Company, nationally renowned for its work with older people, is aiming to get older men dancing in Bethnal Green! The company is looking for funds to help them run dance sessions over a year with 3 different groups of older men – one Bangladeshi, one Somali and one mainly white British. The groups will come together at regular intervals to share their dances and to eat together. 

The project will benefit men’s health – it is widely recognised that dance can improve all physical functions - it will help keep men from being isolated, and it will contribute towards inter-cultural understanding. Funds are needed to ensure that the facilities and teachers are available for a first year of activity, so it can be shown how invaluable dance can be in the lives of older people.
