Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This page is dedicated to Oli and Aimee Kaszas who were school friends whose love for each other developed after Aimee was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2002. Oli was her angel and with his love and support she underwent several years of treatment, but on 24th July 2006 we were told she had weeks to live. On 28th July they were married with their many friends and family present on what was the happiest day of their lives and a day that anyone present will never forget. Aimee was definitely his angel and with her his life was complete. Sadly Aimee died in University College Hospital a week later, aged 23.

Oli was 4 days old when he had a life saving operation and was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Despite a difficult start in life Oli grew into a very fit and active boy, a keen mountain biker and skateboarder in his teens and, through incredible dedication to his daily physiotherapy and medication, maintained his fitness into adult life. Very suddenly in November 2008 Oli contracted Pneumonia and despite several weeks of devoted and tireless care from the medical teams at the Brompton Hospital died on 13th December 2008 aged 25.

They are angels together now, greatly missed by both their families and their many young friends for whom they are an inspiration.

Oli's Angels are running to raise money for the Royal Brompton Cystic Fibrosis Research in Oli's memory through online donations. All money raised offline will be donated to the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust in Aimee's memory.
