Story

For the 6th year running I will be completing the Great North Dog Walk, a fabulous event with stunning scenery and a very enjoyable event for all the family.  Best of all, there's LOADS of dogs! Big, small, young and old they are all there raising funds for various animal charities. www.greatnorthdogwalk.co.uk

Again, I am doing it to raise money and awareness for Oldies Club which is a fantastic national charity, who take in dogs over 7yrs old who find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. They are taken into a loving foster home and then a suitable adoption home is found for them.  Without Oldies Club, many older dogs wouldn't have any where to go and sadly may lose their lives.

Helping me to raise funds will be my beautiful collie Silk, who is almost 12 and has been with me almost 4 years, and the very handsome Bradley who is almost 13 and has been with us almost a year - ever since we saw him advertised on the Oldies Club website!  He lived most of his life chained to an oil drum in Ireland before he was rescued.

Please help us to support this wonderful charity, all the money raised goes towards the vet bills for the dogs that come into our care and every £1 raised is essential to help us to help more dogs.  This year I've set a massive target because recently one of our Oldies' dogs cost us £1000 in vet bills so I'd love to be able to help towards that massive bill - with YOUR help I can do it.

Thank you to each and every person that helps us, and please, don't forget to Gift Aid it!!

Oldies Club is a dog rescue charity which is run by volunteers and helps dogs aged 7+. It often takes in dogs that have been neglected, resulting in large vet bills. Oldies Club places dogs in foster homes, where they are assessed and receive any veterinary treatment required before being rehomed.
