In December 2012 we received the shocking news that Oliver, my now 5 year old son has the life limiting condition Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Oliver will need to use an electric wheelchair by the time he is into his teens. A cruel condition that affects around one in every 3500 boys. At present there is no cure and it is a race against time to fund ongoing research into various treatments. Oliver has recently started steroid treatment which will hopefully keep him walking a little longer. I've decided to tackle two half marathons back to back 7 days apart from each other. The Oxford Half Marathon on the 12th October followed by the Birmingham Half Marathon on the 19th October. All money raised will go to both Oliver's Army and Action Duchenne. Please support me in doing whatever I can to help find a way to save my son's life and the live's of all young boys afflicted by this condition.
