More than 45,500 - that's around 1 in 9 women - are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK. Diagnosis and treatment can have a huge emotional and physical impact on a woman and her family. As well as physical symptoms such as pain, nausea and hair loss, people often experience feelings of shock, fear and anxiety.

Breast Cancer Haven is a registered charity providing free support services to help them cope. Tailored to an individual's needs and their medical treatment, the charity's programme of care focuses on the whole person - to help them feel better physically and emotionally and live a healthier life.

There are 3 Havens - in London, Hereford and Leeds where people can come and benefit from the expertise of our specialist nurses, therapists and counsellors and also from meeting others going through a similar experience. People who can't get to a Haven can call and talk to our specialists, get information from our website or receive a copy of our DVD/CD and online support programme called Breast Cancer Haven at Home.

Our services are free of charge and available to anyone who has been affected by breast cancer and those close to them. In the absence of any government funding, the charity is dependent on charitable donations and fundraising events to continue delivering this vital service.

My story

Our Dad - Live at The Rutland

Thanks to everyone who supported the first public Our Dad gig! The charity fundraiser, launched the new 5-track CD "Talking to Our Dad"; with you raising £365 for the "Mnase Well" project, and another £1,250 for "The Haven".
