I am participating in the Oz Experience, a trip offered by The Joshua Foundation to people in school or college across the UK. The Oz Experience includes travelling to Australia to help in a conservation and restoration project with Conservation Volunteers Australia. The trip was specifically designed to give young people the opportunity to change the lives of children with terminal cancer.I have been selected to take part in The Oz Experience during the summer of 2011 and need to raise a sum of £2750, which contributes to the cost of the trip and raises funds for The Joshua Foundation.
I have come up with a number of ideas to raise this sum such as beat the boxer (http://www.thejoshuafoundation.co.uk/events/20091228-Beat-The-Boxer.htm), collections, bag packing and a sports dinner. Any other idea's would be very welcome.I am a very keen runner and enjoy all sports. At the moment I am in 6th form at stanwell school and looking forward to starting my fundraising.
