My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm pleased to say that the walk was completed on 1 October 2009.

The 4/5 days through the Lake District was hardest and the back pack was too heavy! - blisters and sore feet apart it was a great adventure. With "detours" and off-route accommodation it will have taken the walk over 200 miles but the pain was worthwhile with some spectacular scenery the reward. Only real mishap was falling into a peat bog but my mate got me out (but now regrets not taking a photo). The beer in Robin Hood Bay after 13 days walking was the best I can remember.

Now it's just a matter of collecting pledges and writing to some high profile people to try and raise the awareness of Paroxysmal/Postural Orthostatic Tachcardia Syndrome (POTS).

I would like to thank everyone who has been kind enough to donate - STARS is the only charity that covers this condition, along with a number of other illnesses. The money raised will be specifically aimed at raising awareness and possibly research into this debilitating condition.

It's not too late If you or your friends or employer feel you could make a contribution, however small, you will be helping to start some something that might just help POTS sufferers in the future.

Thank you.

Andrew Stanley
