Story

Thank you for visiting the “Super Human Resources” Just Giving page!

We are the Recruitment and HR department at PRA and we are entering 3 teams into the Reading ½ Marathon Corporate Relay on 17 March 2013 and in doing so raising funds for Oxford Transplant Foundation.

Why the Oxford Transplant Foundation?

Currently in the UK, only 28% of people have signed up to the organ donation register and more than 10,000 people need a transplant.

The Oxford Transplant Centre perform over 100 Kidney transplants every year in addition to Pancreatic, Pancreatic Islet and Intestinal transplants and The Oxford Transplant Foundation exists with the sole aim of improving the centres facilities and promoting research and awareness into organ transplantation.

Charlotte's husband, Kaz Miles, has undergone two kidney transplants at the centre and from experience, the support that the foundation and centre provide to transplant patients and their families is invaluable so please help us raise funds for this incredibly worthy cause and help raise awareness of organ donation!

About the charity

The Oxford Transplant Foundation is an independent charity established to raise funds for the sole benefit of the Oxford Transplant Centre. The Foundation raises funds that are used to enhance the Centre's facilities and to promote research in transplantation. It is devoted to the dissemination of information about the latest medical developments and their implications for improving patient care. The Foundation provides opportunities for stakeholders of the Oxford Transplant Centre -- from patients, doctors, through to carers and scientists -- to work together in continuing to build the Centre's reputation as a world leader in transplantation.
