In Janurary 2010 I am off to work as a volunteer for six months in The Centre for Adolescent Care and Rehabilitation (C.A.R.E.), which is based in the main city of St. Lucia named Castries. C.A.R.E. offers adolescents a second chance in education, so that uneducated young adults can look forward to a brighter future. The centre welcomes overseas volunteers who are prepared to over come any problems they may meet during their placement, as a team member.
Though out my voluntary work placement in St. Lucia i plan to contribute my skills and knowledge to the students and to the staff to help the project flourish. I also plan to encourage the younger generation to continue with further education and believe in them selves, which is vital in improving ones quality of ones life.
