If you have logged onto this page we can only hope that it is to sponsor our attempt to cycle 150 miles on Mountain Bikes "Coast to Coast" from Whitehaven to Sunderland at the end of April 2011.
We have set ourselves this challenge to raise money for Kisima Secondary School which provides secondary education to 160 needy boys and girls from the Northern Frontier District of Kenya, one of the most remote and neglected areas of the world. We have been supporting this school from the very beginning and have followed it every step of the way - from buying the land, to hiring the teachers to chosing the students.
Kisima is now in its seventh year and its success has been impressive - it currently ranks 44th out of 6,000 secondary schools in Kenya. Kisima is funded by The Educational Frontier Trust (TEFT), a small charity run by volunteers (several of whom are our close friends) which ensures that all money donated goes directly to the school. Kisima could not survive without the money raised by TEFT, so please sponsor us now - it will make the long slog far easier when we know that others share our vision.
