Three Challenges, Three Cities, Three Weeks
I am the chairman of Pursue (Parkinson's Unit) Appeal. The primary aim of the appeal is to raise funds to improve the treatment, diagnosis and care of Parkinson's Disease sufferers across the Cardiff and Vale area.
The appeal's vision is to establish a Centre of Excellence for Parkinson's Disease which will deliver visionary care to patients in the region, and to raise awareness, visibility and understanding of Parkinson's. Our target is to raise £100,000. Making a donation now could change someone's life.
My Challenges
Challenge 1 - 4th October - Survival of the Fittest. An endurance survival test across a challenging obstacle course. Not for the faint hearted.
Challenge 2 - 11th October - Birmingham Half Marathon.
Challenge 3 - 18th October - Cardiff Half Marathon.
You may know that my life has been touched greatly by the effects of Parkinson's, and I have seen first hand the devastation it has. I am driven to help improve the quality of life of Parkinson's sufferers, and if doing the smallest challenge can have the slightest impact on just one person's quality of life it makes it worthwhile. All of the money that the appeal raises goes directly towards helping sufferers, with no administration costs.
Hope that you can help me make a difference. Thanks for reading and for your sponsorship.
