Family Rights Group advises and campaigns for families in England and Wales whose children are involved with or require social care services. It promotes policies and practices that assist families including grandparents who are raising children who cannot live at home. It works to increase the voice and influence children and their families have over the services they use.

My story

Hello Folks

Here I go again: my (now annual) run to raise money for the fantastic and invaluable work being done by the Family Rights Group.

Thanks again to those who supported me last year. As you know, I did it in just over an hour. THIS YEAR - with your moral and financial support - I AM AIMING TO CROSS THE LINE IN UNDER ONE HOUR. No doubt, the substantial decrease in my alcohol and curry intake in 2009 will also be of great help!!

The monies raised will support FRG to campaign for legislative and practice changes that would enable:

- more vulnerable children, who would otherwise be in care, to be raised safely and securely by grandparents and other relatives and

- these children and carers to receive the practical and financial support they need, including help with managing contact.
