Story

On Sunday 24th September I will be taking part in the Birmingham Velo 100 mile bike ride.  Unfortunately I have not been as active this time round seeking any donations as my Dad passed away last year and it's been a harder time than I imagined - but if anyone by chance stumbles across my page and would like to make a contribution please do so.  Any donation is much appreciated and more than welcome.

Thank you

My next challenge is to complete the Ride London 100 mile at the end of July 2016.

Any amount you can offer to help me reach my target sponsor amount will be massively appreciated.  I'm committed to reach £10k and it's unlikely I will get this doing the bike ride alone so will be spending additional time / effort to achieve this through other activities.

As seems to be the case with me, my training always seems to be hampered through some form of injury "OK old age, still think I'm 21 :-)" Sadly as some may already know I lost my Dad to cancer the middle of June this year after a few weeks of unexpected illness, so my training again has not been as advanced as it should be.  Whilst this charity focuses on Children with Cancer I know my Dad would still fully support this and was also looking to come to London for the occasion - not to be the case.

However, I have upped my game "so to speak" to ensure that I get this completed in a honourable time.  My target time was initially 5 hours, however due to the position I'm allowing myself an extra 1 hour in which to get this finished which is still reasonable.  25,000 people will be taking part and guaranteed to be a fantastic event.

If anyone fancies a great weekend away - this could be just for you:

Thanks again for taking the time to read this and hopefully parting with some of your well earned money....it is appreciated.

2015 Year's Event
The Etape Eyri is a massive bike challenge for me, not likened to any distance that I’ve cycled in one go previously. Let alone the intense 13,000 feet of climbing in the Snowdonia mountain region to add a little bit of difference .

I’m raising funds for Children with Cancer and want to raise a massive £10,000 and really need your help and support.

226 miles, 3878 meters of climb, three routes, 18 hours! The Chain Reaction Cycles Etape Xtrem will push all your limits. This will be the longest, toughest one day cycle sportive in the UK and possibly the World!

With mobile support teams for your mechanical and food necessities, the route will take in all three of the Etape routes – the Canol and Mawr, followed by the Bach - taking in the atmospheric festival on the iconic Maes after every route.

Participants will have between the hours of 04.00 and 22.00 to complete the Etape Xtrem (18hours).

Cut off times will be applicable for the event, anyone finishing the Mawr route after 18.00 will be unable to continue onto the Bach route.
