My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
I have decided to take up the challenge of running the Manchester Marathon as it returns after a 10 year absence and are doing so in aid of Donna's Dream House. This is the first time I have tried such an event and so now in training to hopefully not only finish the 26 miles, but finish with a respectable time.
Recently arsonists took it upon themselves to damage the property of the wonderful sanctuary that is Donna's Dream House in Blackpool. The founders and owners Len and Barbara set up this charity in memory of their daughter who lost her own tragic battle with cancer aged just 20. Donna's Dream House provides a truly wonderful holiday home for children and teenagers with life-threatening or terminal illnesses and for recently berereaved siblings and their families.

Just an update to say that I completed the Marathon in 3hrs 54mins. It was a very cold, wet and windy day but I truly enjoyed taking part and looking forward now to taking part in another. And just to say a big thank you to to everyone who sponsored me. Thank you so much.
