For some crazy reason i have agreed to run the Windsor Half Marathon on the 27th of September 2009, must be bonkers!!
To help me get around the 13 miles (I need as much help as I can) I am keen to raise money, this is something I have wanted to do for a while and will give me the determination to finish.
Having lived with my Grandparents since i was 8yrs old I have seen how old age can creep up on you and the normal day to day things become a real challenge. My Grandparents were and are luckily enough to have a big family around them to help, but this is not the case for thousands of people around the UK.
Also there are lots of situations where older vulnerbale and lonely people are taking advantage of and abused. My chosen Charity is 'Action on Elder Abuse' who focus on making a difference to these people, a very worth while cause im sure you will agree.
Any help you can give in donating will be awesome and greatly recieved, as well as a real incentive for me to get round the course.
